New Hampshire's Largest Ski Area!
Overlooking Mount Washington, Bretton Woods is New England's fastest growing ski resort. Once recognized as a strong novice area, Bretton Woods has since doubled in size to include more wide open cruising terrain and an abundance of black diamond glades, including 17 new trails and glades. With the addition of a fourth high-speed quad lift this season, the most of any resort in NH, skiers and riders will enjoy more time on the slopes. The Skiing
The perfect location for those first few days on the slopes. Bretton Woods caters best for beginners and intermediate skiers. Starting in the dedicated 'Learn to Ski' areas beginners will gain confidence before moving on to sample the wide open easy cruise slopes like 'Bretton Woods', 'Range View' or 'Sawyers Swoop'. Intermediate skiers will have a ball exploring the resort on the well groomed runs 'Archie's Alley', 'No Regrets' and 'Granny's Grit'. Before taking on the leg burning 'Two-Miles Home' run from the top of the mountain. More experienced skiers are catered for with a number of excellent off piste and glade skiing possibilities. The Rosebrook Canyon Glades offer a number of black & double black diamond runs but for a real challenge head over to the West Mountain for the real trials down 'Devil's Den', 'Maple Woods' and 'Cliff's Cliff'. Snowboarding - the entire mountain is open to snowboarding with the 500-foot Accelerator Halfpipe and terrain park being the main draw however, riders will also enjoybumps, jumps, bowls, and
glades on West Mountain and in the Rosebrook Canyon area!
Sleigh rides, tax-free "factory outlet" shopping at North Conway, novel steam locomotive shuttle at Loon, cinema, night skiing (4pm to 10pm), big choice of bars andrestaurants with live entertainment. Many of the "pubs" brew their own local beer, swimming, tubing and skating, ten pin bowling. Please note that some transport may be required for some of the activities. Extreme tubing, steerable snowtubes, snowdecks, snow bikes etc. are available at Loon Mountain close to Lincoln.
Accommodation
We can offer a number of different hotels around the New Hampshire area. We will select the accommodation best suited to your skiing itinerary and group size. The following are some of the more popular hotels.
Woodwards Inn, nr Lincoln
A comfortable family owned hotel in a quiet location only 10 minutes from Woodstock, Lincoln, and the slopes at Loon Mountain, Bretton Woods is a further 20 minutes away. The hotel offers well-appointed rooms with 2 double beds, satellite TV and private bathroom. All rooms have enough space for individual foldaway single beds if required. Wholesome home cooked meals are taken in one of two large dining rooms, with separate bar/coffee lounge with open log fire.
Facilities: indoor heated swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, ice rink, games room, squash court, video library, karaoke nights and discos also available by arrangement.
Beacon Hotel, nr Lincoln
For over three generations members of the Clermant family have been making guests welcome at the Beacon Hotel. Located near to the Woodwards Inn, the Beacon offers all the facilities of a mini-resort, ensuring that you will not be short of entertainment away from the slopes. The Clermant family pride themselves on their hospitality and high standard of accommodation. The well-appointed bedrooms have 2 double beds, satellite TV and private bathrooms. Meals are taken in the hotel's 'Dad's Restaurant'.
