The Region

Situated 18 km from the exit of the Brennerro highway, the area of Paganella consists of a number of small villages or towns. The main ones are Andalo and Molveno, but we locate our groups in the quiet village of Fai della Paganella. Fai has its own town center with shops, bars, cafes and a new natural ice rink. The main apres ski activities and shopping can be found in Andalo. There is an access point to the ski area from Fai but early in the week most groups prefer to take the short coach ride into Andalo itself.

The Skiing

The publicity for the area calls Paganella "A Paradise For Skiers". Snow, always snow. On the north west slope of the Paganella skiers can enjoy more than 50 km of runs, plus routes for alpine and off-piste skiing. The modern mechanisation can carry up to 23,000 people per hour. From the top of Monte Paganella, at 2125m, there are runs to suit every need, including the challenging Olympic run down to Andalo. What the piste map cannot show is how long and well suited the ski runs are for school groups. There is plenty of gentle progression across the area and the tree lined slopes offer superb, safe skiing.

Accommodation

We have an extensive range of hotels to choose from in the Andalo area, mostly in the towns of Fai della Paganella and Andalo itself. Although slightly more expensive, we feel that the shorter time to the uplift (5 mins at most) is better than the long drive around from the town of Molveno, where most other operators locate their groups.

The Hotel Santellina is a typical example of the hotels we have available. This is an extremely clean and modern hotel which is family owned and run. The atmosphere and friendliness of staff ensure that many groups return to this popular hotel.

Location: Centre of Fai della Paganella, 1km from the uplift at Santel.
